RMP Inkerman Barracks 1953-58, as seen by an instructor.
This is an article I have really enjoyed reading. It brings back many memories and it is possible the passing out parade was my squad – 318 in January 1953, but I’m not too sure!
The instructor in one of the photographs (Traffic Signals) is Corporal Peter Frost. We both played for the Depot rugby team in the 1952/53 season. Peter went on to hold a Senior Civilian Police post in a South Wales Constabulary, whilst I just managed Inspector after 31 years. (Retired in 1985).
Regards to all – thanks to Colin Whatman for the memories.
